MDO, Homeschool, and Other Ramblings

Source {www.baby-gear.biz}

I recently started a new “job” at a Mother’s Day Out program in Lex.  I work with babies that aren’t quite a year old yet(7-9 months).  I am having a BLAST!  I love babies and kids in general, so this is the perfect PT job for me.  It also helps that Miss Priss is able to attend the 18 month old class.{She is having so much fun!}

I am lovin’ these sweet babies!  They are so fun, and funny!  What is really cool is that I will get to watch them grow up this year.  By the end of the year they will all be about a year and a half. It is truly a blessing of a job.

I work with a sweet lady.  We have a great time talking and sharing.  It is really nice to be able to get out of the house twice a week and have some adult conversation.  I feel like it is a friendship in the making. 🙂

I have been tossing around the idea of home school for my kids.  Mr. C isn’t on board, and I’m not 100% sure it is the route we are going to go.  I have been exploring curriculum and doing a lot of research on home school.

Home school affords many unique opportunities for my children.  I am definitely not “anti-public school” by any means.  I grew up in public school, so there are no hard feelings.  I just like being in control of what my children are learning and adding some character building in the lessons.

I don’t know where this will go, but it will definitely be prayed over.  If you could keep this in your prayers, it would be much appreciated.

Lookin' at the Sky.....well at least trying too! That sun is bright!

Now for the “other ramblings.” Miss Priss was crackin’ us up tonight.  This is the funny-ism for the week.  We are currently trying to potty train MP.  Girl LOVES to sit on her potty…..but has yet to actual go potty on it.  Well, today she stripped down completely naked, sat down on her potty, and started passing gas.  She started to BUST OUT laughing at her little farts.  She had me rolling.  I guess farts are funny to her now….and she is only 1.5 years.

TGD has been LOVING riding the bus home this year.  We made the decision to let him ride the bus home from school{I take him to school}.  When you ask him what he has done at school….he will tell you that he rode the bus.  Pretty much ends the convo there.  Oh and I have to brag on my boy.  His teacher told me that he was the best listener in class yesterday.  That’s my boy!  This momma was beaming.

Tomorrow he has speech and occupational therapy and we will be starting a brushing regimen with him.  {You can find info about brushing here}.  TGD has a lot of sensory issues and this will help “balance” out his sensory system.  I really believe that this will help his focus.
